The Supremely Beautiful – Pure –Magnificent, Finest - Unique – Divine - Unparalleled - Eternal Shatrunjaya Giriraj is only 5 km. away from Shree Shatrunjay Navkardham. The mere touch of this land, made divine due to the infinite salvations, imparts an individual the potentiality to attain liberation. This hill has 108 names. Sincerely reciting them daily will bestow fruits of the actual pilgrimage to the soul.
This tirth which is included in the panchtirth has an ancient connection with Shatrunjaya Giriraj. The second tirthankar of the past chauvisi, Shri Nirvaniprabhu’s gandhar Shri Kadambmuni along with many munis attained liberation here. This land is adorned with the shrines of Adinath, Neminath and Simandharswami.
Chakravarti Bharat, eldest son of Aadishwar Bhagwan attained Moksha from here. His elephant departed for heavenly abode from this land after fasting which is why this mountain is named Hastagiri. This calm and scenic tirth is ideal for meditation.
Out of all Shatrunjaya Panchtirth, this tirth is very powerful. In V.S. 1872, the lord’s idol was unearthed from this land. The villagers were cured of diseases and sufferings and so the idol came to be known as Sacha Sumatinath. There is a perpetual continuous lamp here that glows with a saffron coloured flame. To reach this pleasant tirth on a hillock, one has to climb for around 20 minutes.
This tirth is older than 12th century while the idol is still more ancient. With the blessings of adhishtayak dev, the Parshwaprabhu idol which was broken in 9 parts, fused together when kept in laapsi (sweet dish of made from wheatflour) by the shravakas and so came to be known as Navkhanda Parshwanath. Here one can worship a very ancient, artistic and special idol.
In one of the tirth of Shatrunjaya Panchtirth, a white coloured Jivit Mahavirswami is present. This tirth is the birthplace of the generous Jagdushah, (Seth Javadshah) - the 13th renovator of Shri Giriraj, Shri Nemisuriji, Shri Dharmasuriji etc. & other illustrious individuals. This tirth is very powerful and magnificent.
This tirth is famous as the second base of Shree Shatrunjaya. Brave Maurya Kings ruled here and adopted Jain religion. Devardhigani Kshamashramana and 500 Acharya Bhagwant for the first time converted Agamas into written form. Their idols have been arranged in an artistic form.
